Today there were a series of running activities to choose from, including Orienteering or the ParkRun at Lyme Park and the local D group run.
Six runners took part in the local event, in cool conditions but mild for the time of year. After heading up the Middlewood from Summerlea Close, we crossed over the bridge on the Silk Road and headed over the viaduct at Bollington. We then crossed over to the canal, leaving our marathon runner on the Middlewood to clock up some extra miles as the showers set in.
Keeping a steady pace, we ran 6.41 miles in 1hr 05 minutes, averaging just over 10 minute miles.
A good first run of the new year, well done all.
