Saturday 10th January - Bridges Ridges and Canals

Six hardy runners met on a blustery day, to undertake bridges ridges and canals ( oh and tunnels - thanks Chris).
After a blowy run up the Middlewood to the Zeneca bridge, we crossed the canal and headed over the farm track, where the rain came in to give us a pre "Neils Hill" shower.

Everyone made it up the first leg of the hill with some good effort put in and then up the second with a quick Haribo break at the top, before the run along the Windmill Lane ridge.

The penultimate hill up Well Lane proved a bit of a challenge with some small feet and "Barry big strides" needed, then a welcome long downhill stretch of Hurdsfield Road, improving the minutes per mile.

The route was 5.3 miles in total and everyone ran really well, with a good stretch at the end.

Well done!
