This morning 17 D-groupers ran a 5.5 mile mud-free route through Macc Forest including Nessit Hill, Shutlingsloe and Standing Stone avoiding the closed footpaths. Well done everyone.

A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers Trail Group (Saturday 9.00am Trail Running session) informed about our future runs. We run at a pace of 8m30s -11m00s/mile and have a standard run of about 4-6 miles (depends upon terrain) and also longer runs. Ideally you should be capable of running 5k in under 30 minutes to run with the Trail group. If you want to try out the Saturday group contact group leader Neil Gunn at neil.gunn@gmail.com or just come along for a run!

Saturday 19th May - Sponds Trig Trot
Today 10 lovely D Groupers tackled the tough route that is Sponds Trig from the Cheshire Hunt. What a perfect day to be out in the hills. Everyone ran really well considering the terrain and the heat. The birthday boy, Karl, even decided to try the tarzan swing, encouraged by the rest of the group! The result...quite a wet birthday boy!
Back at the finish, there was a (fairly) tuneful rendition of 'Happy Birthday' to Karl and then we all got a lovely chocolate birthday cake, courtesy of MaryAnn! Delicious chocolatey loveliness!
Thanks everyone for a lovely morning.
