Saturday 29th August Prestbury Popping

The start
7 D Group runners out today (a few missing as it is Bollington 10k on 31/8).

Beginning with some hopping in the car park, we set out at a brisk pace along the Bollin Valley. A bit of bull dodging was required before we looped around Prestbury village.

We all then crossed the fields and golf course, then split into two groups, one taking the more direct route back and one a slightly elongated route over Manchester Road into the woods and back along the Middlewood.

A good run was had by all.

Well done!

Saturday 22nd August - The Forest 5

The start
Today 13 D Group runners met to run the 'Forest 5' which is a 'tough' and 'hilly' route. We had rain, flies, sunshine, mud, hills, cloud, views and good banter.

We were very impressed by the 'grit and determination' to beat the hills (especially from new D group member Vanessa).

So, well done everybody ..the tea/coffee/cake afterwards was well deserved!

Saturday 15th August - A Waterloo Wallop

The start
Today a merry band of 12 'D Groupers' were out for a 're-run' of the Waterloo celebration run. We welcomed new group members Zoe and Kathryn and also Kelly and Damian for their second run with us - hopefully we will see them at future runs and races!

After a flat couple of miles (good pace chaps) we started the 'hilly bit' and some excellent effort went in to 'taming the hills' ..and the views from 'up high' made it all worthwhile.

After some very fast 'descent' there was a real group buzz as we were all discussing future runs and races (quite a few people are heading for the Bollington 10k, Gawsworth 10k).

So, until next week...stay safe and enjoy your running!
