Saturday 30th July - Middlewood Speed-Work

Meeting Place
Today 7 determined D group, tackled some speed and hill work along the Middlewood Way and Kerridge.

After a brisk warm up on the viaduct, the group headed to the "zigzag" bridge on the Middlewood Way, for donkeys all the way up to the brown bridge over the silk road.

We then headed back for a timed km run which was done with much enthusiasm and speed. A breather, then a second timed km took us back to the bridge, where we headed across the farm track into Kerridge for a cheeky go up Neils hill.

Some excellent running with just over 5 miles done including the training. Well done everyone, a tough little session!

Saturday 16th July - Forest 5 Recce

The start
Today 16 D group runners looked out of the window, saw the rain and said 'BRING IT ON'. We were not deterred and after a warm up by Kim we ran the route of the Forest 5 (almost 6 miles with looping). Hills - yes, mud - yes, wet - yes, good times - yes!

Well done everybody.
