Saturday 31st March - Rudyard Round

Today, 13 runners ditched the chocolate eggs for a chilly but dry ( yes dry ) loop of the lovely Rudyard lake.

After a quick warm up in the car park, we headed along the muddy tracks along the lakeside to "Susie's pitstop" for a short break and lake pic, before the undulations started. The group resisted the temptations of ice cream and bleach and headed to the abandoned house at the top of the lake.

Downhill back to the track for the end of a bracing 6 miler.

A great birthday run for Mel P :-)

Saturday 24th March - Shining Tor

Today 12 D Groupers set off for a 2-shires expedition to Shining Tor (who needs Staffordshire!). The route took us down towards Errwood Hall, up through Shooter’s Clough (time penalty for Rachel for an unauthorised short cut) to Shining Tor and back to Pym Chair over Cats Tor. Lovely weather and great views from the tops. Well run everyone.

Saturday 17th March - Reservoir Round

Today 11 hardy runners completed The Reservoir Round in snow, wind and sun. After a much needed warm up, the group headed on a gusty canal to the Fools Nook for an obligatory bridge pic.

Crossing over to Leek Old Road some excellent hill work and looping was done by the group before the decent to the reservoir. Taking the newly laid track the group had to test out their hurdling skills as the res' had burst its banks at the top.

The group then crossed over to the copse and the second obligatory bridge pic, before hitting the squealing fields into Sutton. A last loop down Parvey Lane and then back to the cafe for well earned, tea, teacakes, scones and breakfast butties.

Well ran all!
