Today the D group run was at Congleton parkrun. Perfect conditions and excellent running.

Saturday 17th February - Rainow and The Ridge

Today 6 foolish D group runners headed off from Smithy Lane to explore Rainow and Kerridge Ridge including some lung busting hills and slippy descents. The weather was not kind to us so it was another cold, wet & windy Saturday run!

Saturday 10th February - Lyme Park parkrun (club fell series) plus extension

Today 14 D group runners (and a couple of fell section runners) headed off to Lyme Park in HORRENDOUS conditions to tackle the Lyme Park parkrun (part of the club winter series). The run had everything ...mud, rain, sleet, ice, wind and conditions were so bad that most finish times were down by several minutes and equipment was tested to the limit. It looks like the parkrun volunteers suffered in the cold as well as all runners have been allocated a finish time of 59m59s! (CLICK FOR RESULTS)

After the parkrun 10 of the group headed off for a 'mud bath extension' of about 3.5 miles and 5 of the group continued down to the Middlewood Way and ran home.

Sorry about the lack of pictures...it was too cold, windy and wet to use the camera!

Well done...the tea, coffee, cake, butties, hot showers etc were well deserved

Saturday 3rd February - Extended Hollins Hobble

12 runners braved the rain/sleet and general cold & greyness for an epic mud fest across the Hollins and into Langley. Some tough hills, made even harder by the sheer amount of slipping and sliding that went on! We all survived and everyone stayed upright, which was amazing. Our shoes may never be the same though! Well run everyone!
