Saturday 27th August Reservoir Romp

This morning saw 16 D groupers meet for the Reservoir Romp.  It was good to see some familiar faces, some returners and a visitor for the run.

With sunny and rather warm conditions, the group followed the canal path to Fools Nook, embraced the ’undulation’  towards the reservoir for a circuit, before heading back to Sutton across fields.  There was excellent running, looping and banter along the way.

As a NQL (newly qualified leader), the group were extremely supportive and thanks to Mel for sweeping.

Well done everyone!

Saturday 20th August - Bollin Valley Bonanza

On a busy weekend for running and races, 8 D groupers met at the Bollin Valley Riverside Car Park for a "Bollin Bonanza".

After the warm up and the initial cheeky steps / hill diversion, the group set off in changeable conditions, ranging from sunny to drizzling and back again.

Following a run along the river to see if we could spot the kingfisher, the group did hill reps before heading into Prestbury Village. After the loop, the group went over the golf course and back through the estate onto the Bollin valley paths.

Some cheeky "undulations" that get forgotten about and a great run by all.

Well done!

Mel

Saturday 13th August - Oakenbank Odyssey

Meeting Place
Today saw 17 D groupers take on the Oakenbank Odyssey, a five and half mile multi terrain undulating run.

Starting behind the Robin Hood Pub in Rainow, after a warm up on a chilly morning, the group set out over the rocky path and round to Bollington to the base of White Nancy.

We the ascended the steps to say hello to Nancy  up close and then along the Kerridge ridge to the trig point, we then went back ourselves along the base of the ridge to the waterfall at Ingersley Vale. Finally we took the slab path back to Rainow.

A very pretty yet tough little route.

Well ran everyone!
