A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers Trail Group (Saturday 9.00am Trail Running session) informed about our future runs. We run at a pace of 8m30s -11m00s/mile and have a standard run of about 4-6 miles (depends upon terrain) and also longer runs. Ideally you should be capable of running 5k in under 30 minutes to run with the Trail group. Saturday 12th September: #1 Macc Forest #2 Bollin #3 Rainow
Today there were three trail runs out in lovely autumnal conditions.
Run #1 was a ‘bumpy’ 8 milers around Macc Forest – 4 runners out led by Mike S – good to see Steve J back out with the group.
Run #2 was a ‘gentle’ meander around the Bollin Valley where we bumped into a ‘threesome’ celebrating Twiggy’s birthday) – 4 runners out led by Neil.
Run #3 was an ‘undulating run around Rainow and Harrop with 6 runners led by Alison – it was good to see Janette back out!.
All 3 runs enjoyed great views and good banter – well done everybody. There are pictures on FB in three albums.
