Saturday 26th August - Extended Prestbury Pop

10 runners lined up this beautiful morning for a Prestbury adventure. 'Adventure', as it was Neil's route but led by Kim and so who knows what may have happened !!

However, all turned out well. A lovely route of approx., 5.3 miles and no-one got lost or injured!

We had some strong running, together with lots of looping and the sun shone. Happy Days!!

Saturday 19th August - Smithy Lane Adventure

A great morning's running for 15 brave D groupers! The torrential (at times) rain didn't put us off. Swimming cozzies and snorkels might have been appropriate but we still explored some new paths around the Rainowlow area. The promised donkeys didn't materialise unfortunately! They were probably staying dry  inside their stable! Great running everyone!

Saturday 12th August - Mottram Mud Run with possible extensions

Today 25 D group runners were out for an extended Mottram Mud Run. We managed to dodge the showers and there was some excellent looping. Welcome back to Karl Downing & MaryAnn Downing - a lovely way to start the day!

Saturday 5th August - Sutton Reservoir Loop

Today 13 D groupers did the Sutton reservoir Loop in warm and sometimes sunny conditions. 

After a warm up in the car park, the group set out at pace up the canal to Fools Nook.  The obligatory bridge pic taken, the group ascended "that hill" and then down to the entrance to Sutton Reservoir. Some nettle and blackberry foliage was required before a bit of a mud mince, through the copse and into the fields at the back of Sutton.

A last ascent up Parvey lane and a great paced finish back to the garden centre for refreshments and some rather good looking cakes.

Really well done everyone some great effort put in and lots of smiles.
