Today is a special event - we have the opportunity to run with Ben Smith as he runs his 133rd consecutive marathon (part of his 401 challenge to run 401 marathons in 401 days). Macc Harrires are supporting Ben and we all have the chance to run some (or all) of the route with him.
The plan is to start at the track at ~9.00am with a talk from Ben and then we will run the first mile with a group of primary school children. After that we will head off for a double lap of the Macc Half route. Approximate timings below.
You can join in anywhere on the route and do as much or little as you want to - the pace is not fast.
Please contact Neil Gunn if you plan to run (neil.gunn@gmail.com).
More information about the challenge can be found at www.the401challenge.co.uk

A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers Trail Group (Saturday 9.00am Trail Running session) informed about our future runs. We run at a pace of 8m30s -11m00s/mile and have a standard run of about 4-6 miles (depends upon terrain) and also longer runs. Ideally you should be capable of running 5k in under 30 minutes to run with the Trail group. If you want to try out the Saturday group contact group leader Neil Gunn at neil.gunn@gmail.com or just come along for a run!
