Saturday 14th March - Poynton Potter

Today 10 D Trail runners we’re out for a new route starting at Poynton Lake and taking in the old railway lines, canal and some very muddy fields. Apparently the route was 'non-compliantly long' but general consensus was positive 😁

As promised, there was #absolutelynomudwhatsoever ...well done everybody ...good banter and looping. See you next week!

Today (Feb 29th) is the first running of the new club fell race in memory of club runner Terry Neild.

As a number of group runners will be running this or helping out (or resting before Cloud 9 on Sunday 1st March) there will be NO D TRAIL RUN TODAY.

If you are not at Terry's High 5 then it is a DYOT day (Do Your Own Thing).

See you on Saturday 7th March.

Saturday 22nd February - Daniel's Wood & Mottram circuit

Today 13 (then very quickly we became 12) trail runners were out for an 'absolutely no mud whatsoever' run around Mottram and Daniel Hill. The rain stopped as we set off and we enjoyed blue skies. It appears that our shoes and running kit may need a wash. Well done everybody...good looking and banter,

Neil, Andy, Mel

Saturday 15th February - Sponds Hill Trig (not Sponds Trig)

This morning not deterred (much) by Storm Dennis 11 trail runners met for a challenging route advertised as Sponds Trig. However, common sense prevailed as we climbed Andrew's Knob and the wind got stronger and the rain got heavier so we altered our route sticking to lower paths. Everywhere was completely waterlogged which made it very slippy and hard work. But we survived! Well done everyone for sticking with it.
