A lovely morning it was too for a gavotte around Gawsworth! 13 eager runners, some of whom had run or cycled to the start point, ran the route from the Harrington Arms, across fields, canal path and country lanes.
The route although flatish, is quite challenging across rough fields, but the group ran well and pretty speedily! Luckily there was no repeat performance from the lairy cows of our recce. That would have been a test of our speed!
Thanks and well done everyone, what a great start to a Saturday morning!

A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers Trail Group (Saturday 9.00am Trail Running session) informed about our future runs. We run at a pace of 8m30s -11m00s/mile and have a standard run of about 4-6 miles (depends upon terrain) and also longer runs. Ideally you should be capable of running 5k in under 30 minutes to run with the Trail group. If you want to try out the Saturday group contact group leader Neil Gunn at neil.gunn@gmail.com or just come along for a run!
