Saturday 28th January - Hardlingland Loop

Today we had 24 D group runners braving the rain, mud, ice, cold and a few 'undulations'. The route was challenging and would normally be full of excellent views - sadly the low cloud prevented that but it did not stop some excellent looping, great banter, epic mud fall and laughter!

Welcome to new runners Anna, Jules, Andy & Sofie

Saturday 21st January - Bridges Ridges and Canals

Today 21 D Group runners set off on a cold and crisp morning for a varied Bridges Ridges and Canals route.

After a brisk warm up, the hardy crew set off to the Middlewood Way, then across the canal to the Cenotaph at Kerridge, for an ascent of "Neil's Hill".

After a quick re-group at the top, we made our way across Windmill Lane and down to Swanscoe. An ascent and a flood crossing at Well Lane then it was back to the canal via Hurdsfield road.

Next stop Delamere Drive and through a very muddy "shortcut", back onto the Middlewood Way and the home straight.

Brilliantly well ran, lots of looping circling general comradery!  Welcome to four new Saturday D runners Andy, Anna, Jules and Liz.

** UPDATE ** Saturday 14th January - Bollin Valley

On a grey, snowy, icy, grey, wet, muddy, muddy muddy 25 hardy runners met for a run along the Bollin Valley, following the river to Prestbury, over to Tytherington Golf Course and picking up the Bollin again for the return.

It was fabulous to see so many runners out given the conditions, lot's of chat and excellent running - we salute you all!

Saturday 7th January - Forest 5 loop

Today 17 D groupers, met at Ridgegate Reservoir to do a version of the Forest 5 loop.

On a mild murky foggy day, our first Saturday D run of 2017 took us up the back lane from the Leather Smithy, up to the ruined barn then up the steps and across to the sweetie tree ( still festive just for some of our members ).

We then descended to Forest Chapel and back into the forest, for a short incline to the top of Nessit Hill - 0 visibility and then a long fast descent before a loop of the reservoir.

Well ran by everyone and welcome to our newest Saturday runners, you were great!
