Saturday 4th July - Bollin Valley Banger

The Banger
Today, 13 D groupers braved the hot clammy weather for a Bollin Valley Banger.

Beginning at the Riverside car park, we headed up the Bollin Valley Way, to be greeted by a couple of very excited terriers, keen to join in the fun. Crossing the fields by the river, we made our way to the bridge for a breather, before heading into Prestbury village.

A small bout of circling was required to recollect a couple of the group, needing comfort breaks
( perils of good hydration ) then on to the fields leading to the golf course. This was feeling much hillier in the heat.

Respite again while waiting to cross Manchester road, then into the wooded area for some welcome shade. Heather and Chris left us to do some extended training, whilst the rest of the group made our way downhill back along the Middlewood.

A tough little run when the sun is up, but everyone did really well again.

Well done everyone, definitely enough extra calories burnt off for an ice cream or two!
