Saturday 7th February - a D Group 'taster'

Meeting Place
On a chilly bright Saturday morning, 23, (yes 23!) runners set out along the Middlewood Way northbound, for a D group taster session.

There were a fantastic gang of nervous E groupers, who wanted to test their ability and prove their capability to make the transition from E to D group. The nerves did not last long and the proof was definitely in the pudding!.

We set the pace at  approximate 10:00 minute mileing, with those who are faster, doing plenty of looping back,  the group ran a circuit of around 5.7 miles.

Despite working really hard at times, only two brief Haribo breaks were needed.

Everyone worked really hard and did a frankly brilliant job..... fantastic. Those who were able to make a cafe stop after were reportedly "buzzing", no caffeine required. Thanks to Jenny, Wendy and Harry "the machine" Newton for the additional support.

Well done everyone, will look forward to seeing some permanent movers next week.

You should be proud
