Macclesfield Harriers Trail Group

A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers Trail Group (Saturday 9.00am Trail Running session) informed about our future runs. We run at a pace of 8m30s -11m00s/mile and have a standard run of about 4-6 miles (depends upon terrain) and also longer runs. Ideally you should be capable of running 5k in under 30 minutes to run with the Trail group. Saturday 6th December - CAFOD Social with E Group

Meeting Place

Today we met at the same starting point as E Group, as we suspected a smaller turnout following the Christmas Party and prior to Yule Yomp day.

Three hardy runners set out to run the full CAFOD route on a crisp. cold and sparkling morning. The initial run to Tinkers Clough barely warmed us up and the temperature became even more apparent as we reached the frozen canal. After picking up another runner en route, the four of us completed the full 5 miles with plenty of looping back.

A fine winters run.
