Saturday 24th November - Kerridge & Canal

Today a small group of trail runners were out for a 6 mile tour of Kerridge. There were 6 starters and 4 finishers so we only lost 1/3 of the group on the way which isn’t too bad! Plenty of wind, mud, undulations and views.

Saturday 17th November - Macc Forest Foray

Today 10 trail runners gathered for a chilly start at Ridgegate Reservoir. Those pesky 'undulations' soon had us warmed up though!

Up Nessitt Hill (a long climb) then across to Standing Stone car park and across to Forest Chapel then up Charity Lane and through the forest back down to the Leather's Smithy. A few people had time constraints and left the rest of us to do a loop around the reservoir.

The colour and light in the forest were just beautiful today. Well done everyone and thanks for coming out to play; a great way to start the weekend.

Saturday 10th November - Bridges Ridges and Canals

Today 12 D Trail Group members set out on a mild November morning for a version of Bridges Ridges and  Canals.

Heading up the Middlewood Way towards Bollington, we peeled off at the canal exit, after the wooden Bridge over the Silk Road and headed southbound along the canal.

A foray into the field took us passed the ponds and to the back of Swanscoe. We then headed up "Hamburger Hill" and in an unusual turn of events, descended DOWN "Neils Hill" to the Cenotaph and along the farm track back to the canal.

Making short shrift of the return journey everyone completed the 6 miles in great time and leaving no-one behind... except the leaders when they got distracted by those sheep/pigs ( not pictured ).
