Today both D & E groups met at Clough Bank for a run to both commemorate the Waterloo celebrations and to raise money for the East Cheshire Hospice.
After admiring the array of tutu's tiaras and .....chickens, D group, headed down the Middlewood Way to Whitely Green and then back up the canal to Tinkers Clough. Woodpeckers, baby geese and a rather tame heron were spotted en route. Although the weather was "mizzly" it was warm and some really good effort was put in by all.
After frisky cow dodging, we all tackled Neils hill as a warm up to the main event. Not a single person stopped, what a brilliant achievement! Then a more cooling run before we all headed up White Nancy, where we saw another mass of yellow in E group!
After a few pictures we then headed along the ridge, down "the passage of doom" and back to Tinkers Clough ( avoiding the cows this time ). Dangerous Dave rejoined us for a Tai Chi inspired cool down.
Thanks to Twiggy for the photgraphy, Harry Dave and Fiona for the support.
All in all a brilliant run and then the cake fest began.
You should all be really proud ( I was ).
