Saturday 6th August - Tittesworth Tantaliser

Today D group headed off to Tittesworth Reservoir for a loop run in the sunshine.

There were 17 runners out today. After a 'team introduction' (not everybody knew each other) we all did a 'Kim special warm up' ....a good way to start our run. Janette gave a route update and then off we went. Today's route was anti-clockwise so we got the short road section out of the way at the beginning.

Some good looping, good banter & very good cake/tea afterwards.

Leaders: Janette Byrne and Kim Eastham (also present were Ali G. Mel W, Stephen B, Neil G)

Saturday 30th July - Middlewood Speed-Work

Meeting Place
Today 7 determined D group, tackled some speed and hill work along the Middlewood Way and Kerridge.

After a brisk warm up on the viaduct, the group headed to the "zigzag" bridge on the Middlewood Way, for donkeys all the way up to the brown bridge over the silk road.

We then headed back for a timed km run which was done with much enthusiasm and speed. A breather, then a second timed km took us back to the bridge, where we headed across the farm track into Kerridge for a cheeky go up Neils hill.

Some excellent running with just over 5 miles done including the training. Well done everyone, a tough little session!
